Our work began when Indiana caregivers, local teachers, and neighborhood organizers realized children needed informal circles of safety and encouragement outside structured institutions. We set out folding tables in local parks, brought craft supplies, and listened to what neighborhood kids actually asked for.
As a registered 501(c)(3) public charity governed by local volunteers and civic advocates, our operational choices stay anchored in direct neighborhood contact. Every gathering remains free, barrier-free, and directly accountable to the Midwestern families we live beside.
Three founding commitments
These shared neighborhood standards steer every gathering, volunteer orientation, and board decision.
Radical belonging
Protective adult circles
Child-led courage
Every child is received without prerequisite, assessment, or enrollment hurdles. We create an enduring local circle where quiet confidence is nurtured.
Vetted neighborhood mentors, parents, and civic allies stand beside youth to ensure physical safety, emotional stability, and attentive listening.
Bravery grows through self-directed play, neighborhood service projects, and honest expression rather than top-down adult instruction.
Connect with our board
Our volunteer directors welcome questions from Indiana families, potential mentors, and civic partners.
